Custom wedding painting

8X10 Oil on canvas
@2014 Itsuka Hiraga

I recently painted a wedding photo for one of my Etsy customer Jennie who wanted to give the painting to the bride and groom. I really enjoyed painting the detail of everyone's face, their dress and back ground. It was very honour to paint a beautiful picture. Thank you so much, Jennie:)

Here is the process of painting.

@ The Museum of Anthropology

ink and water colour on paper
@ 2014 Itsuka Hiraga

I went to the Museum of Anthropology with Vancouver Urban Sketchers. It was an interesting building and it took me sometime to find the entrance (maybe it's only me...lol). Their collections are beautiful and I decided to draw totem poles, some urban sketchers and other visitors. We showed our sketches each other afterwards and I enjoyed everyone's art. It was friendly atmosphere and I had a lot of fun:)

Re-usable cup art

Glass paint on cup
@2014 Itsuka Hiraga

I painted on Starbucks re-usable cups (for cold and hot drinks) with Americana Gloss Enamels. I previously used acrylic paint as I had no knowledge about glass(plastic) painting and thought it would do. However it came off after one used and washed. I soon went to Michaels to look for glass painting and found Americana Gloss Enamels. Cups are plastic and I couldn't bake them to adhere which I could do for glass or ceramic. Hopefully it will last longer.

The last picture is the cup with a crochet sleeve that I made.

Happy coffee!!

It was on Car free day in 2013 that I took this picture. I always fascinated by people who play instruments thinking I wish I could play like them. I loved to paint lattice windows for the back ground in this picture as well.
